And I mean i’m genuinely trying to recover…
Guys I spend way too much time on the internet so here is my compilation of crap worth your money.
PSA these are all my personal opinions. I have seen so many of these and thought id make my own. Every person I’ve seen kind of says the same 3-5 things or at least products that are similar so if I was going to add to this consumeristic trend I thought it’d be something at least semi new i’d bring to the conversation. Also I personally own all these items or do all these things.
Anyhow… moving on. In no particular order.
- A camera. WITH a strap so you can carry it around.
I believe this one goes without saying. Having a device other than your cellphone where you can store and get great pics out of is not only in trend right now but it so essential to preserving good memories and the biggest problem, that I myself struggle with is remembering to pull the camera out at the right moments but that issue had become a lot smaller when I got a camera and a strap to hold it. It looks cute on, its accessible, its cheap. Need I say more? It seems like common sense but the real battle is not forgetting your camera. I use a film camera from the 80’s that uses 2 AAs but for those of you that may prefer a digital these a million great options out there. It is also a battle to remember to charge it but once you get over that hill its amazing. Anyways, enough abt the camera.
2. Pillow Top Mattress Topper
For a long long time I didn’t care about my sleep. But as I’ve moved so many times recently and spent more time thinking about the things that truly mattered to me in the space I was building for my bedroom. Good quality bed items will ALWAYS be worth it. If you can improve your sleep, always choose to do so. From bedding to pillows to blankets and stuffed animals I would recommend it all but this one truly changed the game. Just one more reason to not get out of bed in the morning.

3. Community
Now while I do believe having to buy community and friends and 3rd spaces is ridiculous and capitalism at its finest. I do think that if you’re gonna spend your money spend it in a way which will make your life more fruitful. One of the easiest ways to do that? Find community and spend time with them. Even if the events are free the most valuable thing you can give up is your time. DO IT! Concerts, fairs, markets, dinners. They all take a little out of you wallet at the end of the day.

4. Books
Ok I feel like in recent years books (especially those you are reading for funsies), have become things people collect rather than media that is actually being consumed. I have way too many books I’ve never read. But if you’re willing to get out of that slump. Willing to put the phone down and pick the book up, I will never think that using your money on something like reading is a waste. Read a book, gift a book, lend a book, support your local small second hand bookshop. Keep literacy alive!
5. Diffuser
If you are genuinely going to go out in search of something that gives tour life a tad bit more of “superficial” value. Make it a diffuser. I didn’t understand the art and the power of a diffuser until recently and it has honesty changed the game. The scent is so strong and they seriously make oils of anything. Your room or house can be smelling like anything from a bakery to a doctors office in 30 mins or less.

6. Workout classes
OKOK yes. They are expensive. But at the end of the day if it’s between my 22 dollar drink and yummy food 3x a week and yoga/pilates. I would pick the ladder. It is to just an investment in looking better but genuinely being able to move my body and feel confident about it has changed my entire life. Is it hard? yes. Did it take about 6 months to get used to? also yes. But DO IT. Its inexplicable just how great you feel when your body feels great. It IS an if ykyk situation and only you can allow yourself to know.
Thank you for reading my writing rant about the things I choose to spend my money on! I love you all.
After Article: Article
I would like to take the time to give inspo credits to one of my current favorite content creators:
https://www.youtube.com/@shamelessnerd
This is Reid a semi small Youtuber who I have been watching for several months now. I love his commentary on many different topics ranging from an entire series dedicated to him switching to more simple tech such as a dumb phone to “What happens when we die?” (check that one out). Anyhow my entire mentioning of his channel is because of a segment he does on majority of his videos called the “Post Video: Video” which is a part of his content I greatly enjoy and would like to take inspiration from. Now I don’t know if I will do this every post but maybe!
For my first After Article: Article id like to propose the question:
Should I make a Autumn wardrobe inspo post?
This was my last style inspo post:
