The &#8220;quit social media for your mental health&#8221;. Delete the apps. Buy a digi cam, mp3 player, flip phone, and build a bunker in the woods. All in the means of d~e~t~o~x&#8230; well I kind of do want the iPod. But anyways. I feel stuck. At a stalemate with myself. I find myself laying in bed yearning for the willpower to get up and either get out of the house, or honestly just simply make something. Create something I have been contemplating for a while. Yet i&#8217;m stuck in place staring at my ceiling glancing over at my phone face down on the covers. Rubbing my eyes because they are so strained from staring at pixels all the damn time. You ever lie in bed for so long swiping through things and look up and its 2:39 in the MORNiNG? Look away into the abyss that is your dark pitch black room. And your eyes burn, you try to switch off your phone and close your eyes and they hurt more to close than to simply keep staring at the screen. Ya&#8230; thats how you know its bad. So for now I am attempting to put screen time on my phone to shame myself into not racking up 13 hours on tiktok\/instagram combined endlessly scrolling,( in hopes to find&#8230; whatever I was setting out to find ig). And then I&#8217;ll cop a iPod and mod the crap out of it. Carry it in my bag and say bye bye to streaming subscriptions that i&#8217;m tied to. Maybe bring around my digi and use it more often. I have found comfort in recording my life on my laptop as of late. And as inconvenient as it is it has become therapeutic. Of course not everything is captured. Funny moments and memories are seared into my core tho. Filed away in the junk box mess of thoughts. Anyways, I will keep you all updated on how well my detox endeavor goes. Maybe i&#8217;ll pick up a new hobby of find myself writing more letters to you all. I really hope I do as 15 drafts are stacking up in my blogs &#8220;posts&#8221; section of management. I will forever be grateful that I took the time to write how I felt or what I was doing at 18 yrs old, on a random Tuesday night. Because then when the mother of death and nostalgia inevitably come to look for me I can read through all of the random things I believed to be brilliant ideas at the time of conception. Then maybe i&#8217;ll laugh, or cry, or both.
